UPS Strike Business Continuity Notice
As you may know, a bargaining agreement between UPS and their U.S.-based employees (represented by the IBT) has not been reached, and the current unionized contract expires July 31st. As a result, there is potential for a strike by UPS’s Teamster members that could start as early as July 31st if a contract is not agreed upon.
A strike by UPS employees will negatively impact the entire U.S. supply chain and slow down the flow of packages moving through the logistics network. As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to provide you with advance notice of this situation. The team at OxyGo understands the importance of timely and reliable deliveries to meet your business needs. While we cannot control external factors such as labor disputes, we want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to help reduce disruptions to our delivery services during this period.
In advance of a potential UPS strike, you may consider placing your orders earlier than usual or increasing your safety stock by 2 or 3 weeks to allow for any delays that may occur. By doing so, we can work together to mitigate any impact on your operations and help you receive your orders in a timely manner.
UPS currently delivers 24.3 million packages per day. By comparison, FedEx currently delivers 9.9 million per day. Should a strike proceed, it’s not possible for other carriers to be able to support this volume in a timely manner. The majority of our shipments have been done using FedEx for some time now; however, service levels may be affected. We are evaluating and utilizing other methods of delivery as well, including more LTL shipments and The United States Postal Service. We will also closely monitor the situation to stay informed about the status of any packages that may be stranded in the UPS system. We are committed to keeping you updated throughout this period.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Our team is dedicated to providing you with exceptional service, and we will make every effort to fulfill your orders promptly and efficiently.
If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Customer Service Team. We are here to support you and address any concerns you may have.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. We value your business and look forward to serving you.
"When I found out that I needed oxygen, I thought many activities were lost to me. OxyGo has restored my confidence in getting where I want to be, and my enjoyment in doing what I love."
"The tanks I used before OxyGo were bulky and very restrictive. I used tanks for almost a year before finding out about OxyGo. The tanks were a lot of work and I often found them exhausting to use and set up … OxyGo gave me my life back. Now I want to go places. I can take OxyGo to the pool, beach, grocery store, shopping. I am often gone 8-10 hours a day."
"OxyGo has given my mom her life back and mine too. Freedom to be the type of person she was before. The extra double battery is even more amazing. Before OxyGo she could not go to Columbus, two hours away to see my sister. Now she can see her grandkids—It’s a product that has definitely made her life a lot happier."
"I have patients coming in to switch out for the OxyGo POC because of its battery life. And they love and feel safer with the OxyGo POC because it shows exactly how much time is left to the minute rather than showing remaining time in percentages, which is what units competitive to OxyGo POCs do. Expressing remaining oxygen supply in exact minutes left is a big comfort advantage OxyGo has with patients."
"My life with OxyGo is really 103% better than it ever was with a medical oxygen tank!"
